About me

I completed my undergraduate coursework in Psychology at the University of Oklahoma in 1999 and received my Master of Arts degree in Counseling at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas in 2005. My background includes working with children and adolescents in foster care and providing family counseling to adoptive, foster and biological families. I have worked with clients with a wide variety of issues such as post traumatic stress disorder, postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, trauma from abuse and neglect, infertility, miscarriage, divorce, relationship difficulties, children with behavior issues, and individuals suffering with depression and anxiety.  I enjoy working with individuals, couples,  and families. I have facilitated small and large psychoeducational and process groups. I have also prepared and provided presentations and workshops to various groups and workplaces.  I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Nurturing Parenting, Psychological First Aid and Level 1 Gottman Method Couple's Therapy.

I previously served as the Clinical Director at Sunbeam Family Services and I have provided therapeutic services to couples, families, and individuals in home, school and officed-based settings for 13 years.

I am passionate about working with others during their journey of healing and process of self discovery.

In my free time I enjoy running, weight lifting, reading, cooking, traveling, being outside and spending time with my friends and family.
